Share your ideas with your teacher and try to make sentences.

Have you ever written a work email? What was it all about?

VOCABULARY

Repeat  these  sentences  after  your  teacher.

1. first name (n.) 名字
My first name is John.
我的名字叫約翰。  

2. last name (n.) 姓氏
My last name is Smith.
我的姓是史密斯。 

3. formal (adj.) 正式
Our boss likes using formal speech.
我們的老闆喜歡用正式的演講。

4. highlight (n.) 突出
The highlight of our evening was the desert.
我們傍晚的亮點是沙漠。 

5. bullet points (phr.) 要點
Write your ideas in bullet points.
將您的想法寫在要點上。 

6. makes sense  (phr.) 意義
Your explanation makes sense.
您的解釋很有道理  

7. sign off (v.) 註銷
Grandpa always signs off with ‘Yours truly.’
爺爺總是以“真正的你”為標誌。

Read the dialogue aloud with your teacher.

Sure, I’d love to. Do you know Mr. Peterson?

If you know Mr. Peterson, then you can use his first name. Using his last name is too formal.
