Unit 01
How to start
1. Tutor will set the time.
2. Tutor will stop you when the time is up.

Part 1
Answer these questions based on Part 1 of the IELTS Speaking test. This part of the test usually takes 4-5 minutes.
1. What languages can you speak?
2. Do you think it’s difficult to learn a new language?
3. Will you learn other languages in the future?
Part 2
Complete this task based on Part 2 of the IELTS Speaking test. You have 1 minute to prepare your response and up to 2 minutes to speak. Your tutor will stop you when the time is up.
Describe someone / a person who speaks a foreign language well.
You should say:
- Who this person is
- What kind of language he or she speaks
- Why he or she learns this language
- Explain why you think he or she speak this foreign language well
Part 3
Answer these questions based on Part 3 of the IELTS Speaking test. Your teacher will stop asking questions after 5 minutes.
1. Do you think English will be the mainstream language of the world in the future?
2. When learning a foreign language, which part is easier? Speaking or writing?
3. What benefits can a foreign language bring to one’s career?
4. Is learning a foreign language important?
